Tonia is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds. Tonia is skilled in addressing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, and life transitions. Her client-centered approach ensures that individuals feel heard, supported, and equipped to navigate their journey toward growth and healing.
Tonia integrates evidence-based therapeutic techniques with mindfulness practices, empowering clients to build a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them. She creates a safe, collaborative environment where clients can explore their challenges and strengths.
Tonia is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a proud graduate of Sam Houston State University, where she earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy and a Level 1 Certification in the Gottman Couples Method Therapy. Guided by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, Tonia emphasizes the importance of understanding the patterns of thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and values that shape behavior
